Norwich City v Birmingham City
Third placed Norwich City welcome Birmingham to Carrow road tonight. The Canaries are coming in to this one four points off the top of the table and will be looking to get even closer to Leeds United at the top of the pile. Norwich haven’t lost to Birmingham in their last four matches with the Blues, and we expect them to get the win they need tonight against a Birmingham side who haven’t won in their last four games in all competitions. Norwich are a very attacking side and average 15 shots per game, and we think they will turn shots into goals against a Birmingham side who have a high number of shots against when they play the leagues top teams. Norwich are unbeaten in six home league matches against the Blues and Garry Monk’s side have failed to beat the Canaries in 13 of their last 14 match ups.
Vitesse v Excelsior
Fifth placed Vitesse welcome league strugglers Excelsior tonight in the Eredivisie. Vitesse still have Europa League qualification in sight and will be chasing a needed victory against an Excelsior side who sit just four points off the foot of the table. Vitesse come in to this one having won three of their last five games in the Eredivisie, whereas Excelsior have failed to win in four of their last five outings. We expect a similar outcome tonight, especially with Vitesse being at home. Vitesse have scored a decent amount of goals in the league this season, with 27 goals in 17 games and are expected to add to that tally and get the win tonight against an Excelsior side who have the worst goals against tally in the league, conceding a massive 45 goals in just 17 outings.
